Hello, my name is Niesha Zeigler and I am 22 years old. I am currently a senior at Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio. I am an Art major with a focus on Digital Photography. I have always loved art. As a child, photos of all sorts caught my attention. At first, I would draw them, and then in high school, I had the chance to venture with a Honeywell Pentex K1000 film camera and take a photography class my 11th and 12th grade year of high school. From then on, I knew photography was something that wasn’t just a pastime for me, but a passion. The type of photography that I geared my focus toward in high school and currently in college is portraiture. Capturing the world of others just intrigues me and making art out of their lives excites me. My first subject matter that I have studied portraiture on has been my sister Kelly, which I use her as portrait studies today. I love doing tableau and conceptual photography. Telling stories and making whimsical creations is what I love most about my photography. I am currently trying out other type of photography too such as documentary and candid style. With all of my experience and practice, I hope to one day use my fine art photography style and create striking covers and spreads for national magazines and have exhibitions around the world featuring my work. In addition to national recognition, I hope to share my love of photography by teaching it to either high school or college students.
